Ryu is cut down by Doku with the stolen Blade, but he is brought back to life as a soldier of revenge. Fighting his way back to his village, Ryu encounters Doku, who has killed the Hayabusa shrine maiden Kureha and has taken the Dark Dragon Blade. During their chat, Ayane delivers news of a raid on the Hayabusa village. Ryu is there to visit his uncle, the clan leader Murai. At the start of the game, the player takes control of Ryu as he infiltrates the Shadow clan fortress.
Ryu's quest for vengeance spans sixteen chapters, each beginning and ending with a cutscene. If you're looking for a challenging game to get trophies on, then this is the one for you.

That's pretty much it for this challenge. Kill the Shadow Fiends and use the leftover Essence for UT's on them red dinos. Use counterattacks on the Shadow Fiends and stay evasive from the Dinos. The Fiend Challenge in this area consists of a mixture of Shadow Fiends and Red Dinos. Open the chest for a goodie and make your way down the zigzag path to the other gate.

With all three dead, go to the end of the path and strike at the crack on the wall to open a new secret pathway. Roll jump towards the soldiers and take out the Grenadier first and then use UT's on the other two soldiers. You do NOT need to kill these dinos to continue the mission, but if you defeat them, Rachel will receive the BLADE OF THE OUROBOROS Sorcery! Exit Drawbridge Square using the Blue-jeweled doorway. Pull the lever in front of the bridge to lower it and then head for the Square to encounter some Red Dinos. Use the Save Point at Drawbridge Hill if you need to and then go down the steps towards Drawbridge Square. Eliminate the soldiers on the way down as you head towards Drawbridge Hill. Take the only pathway that is open at the moment. Replenish your supply at Muramasa's Statue if you need to and then exit out of the Monastery back to Monastery Plaza. First of all, SAVE your game at the Save Point. This is a pretty short mission depending if you want to take on both objectives or not. MAIN OBJECTIVE: GO TO GREAT BRIDGE SQUARE
